There are about six main styles that are used in playing poker. To be on the safe side, it is advisable to master all these styles that you can tell when opponents are trying to bring you down. Loose-passive
There is the chaser or the loose passive player who is capable of playing different styles of poker without any difficulty. You should be wary of such players because they are very dangerous and incase you come across them on your table you should know how to handle them.

Tight-passive
The players who play few hands also tend to be the pushovers are the ones referred to as the tight passive players. This types of players tend to play with a lot of caution and the main difference between them and the aggressive players is the fact that they tend to hold their hands if the flop has not improved. So if you have some of them on your table and you notice that the flop looks weak, then you should go ahead and make a bet.

Tight-aggressive
The type of players who take a lot of time in determining the hand that they are going to use to play or the ones that play fewer crappy hands are known as the tight aggressive players. The only way that you can beat these players is by avoiding to be swung by their current and outsmarting them at their own game.

Loose-aggressive
The loose chaser on the other hand can be termed as being the subcategory of the previously discussed styles of playing poker. The people who play using these styles are known to play using the hand that is highly bound to favor them by the end of the river. When you have such people on the table who play using such a style then you will be in for more problems unless you are the one that is using it. The super tight bettor style is an even tougher style because people using it will most of the time use only the best cards or the ones that have an upper hand. To beat these guys just like in the previously discussed style of tight aggressive player, you should beat them at their own game.
